Not NHL, but hockey.

Latvia won Bronze against the US 4-3 in overtime in the IIHF World Championship 3rd Place game.

It makes Latvia the first non-Russian former Soviet country to medal at the World Championships:

The Hockey Hall of Fame announced its 2023 class. NHLers included are Pierre Turgeon, Mike Vernon, Tom Barrasso, and Henrik Lundqvist. In the "builder" category, former Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock and former Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche GM Pierre Lacroix made it in.
