Well, I don't support this bill. I won't support a limit who is so low. 0.08% is better. They have that in Quebec, without problems. (Well, they have a problem, but the problem is the too low penalties)

So, I propose an amendment since I will never vote for that now.

You guys do realize that a 0.5 BAC would mean that most people could only have one drink before driving? That seems awfully draconian.

Should we expect a veto, then?

My mind is open to convincing and my vote is open to switching, if someone can persuade me.

I won't say much, but people are able to drive properly at 0.6 or 0.7.

Wow, guys, running a bit of a nanny state here? A BAC of 0.08 is the legal limit in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the UK; I don't think these countries have any problem that bumping the limit down a notch will solve at all.

Tmth's vote shouldn't even count, no offense. I don't think he knows anything about alcohol consumption.

Get out of here if you don't bring relevent content!

I don't know much about alcohol consumption, either, for the record.

It is the opinion of the President of the Senate that the President Pro Tempore did not have grounds to initiate a final vote at this time. I definitely construe Senator Franzl's post quoted below as germane debate.

Thank you Badger, I hadn't considered the legal issues you present, and they are valid concerns.

I don't think the fine itself is too high personally, but I suppose that's up for debate Smiley

So, voting is cancelled?
