Facebook and Instagram have both locked Trump's accounts for 24 hours.

Only 24 hours?  Why not permanently?

Now that the dust has settled, I hope we can all at least recognize that those calling for the police to fire on the protestors was absolutely insane.  They handled the situation absolutely appropriately and minimized the carnage.  The Congress is already back in session and it doesn't appear that there is any irreparable damage.  It could have been a LOT worse if people had let their emotions direct them.

Nope!

Josh Hawley is pretending to be upset.  I'll never forget that photo of him smirking and waving at the rioters on his way into the Capitol as they cheered for him.

Romney is staring daggers at him.  Mitt, if there's a first time in your life to use a swear word, now would be it.

I agree, but it's valid to point out hypocrisy regarding the BLM protests back in the summer of 2020.

I think a lot of just functionaries who didn’t want to be involved with politics in general are leaving cause they didn’t sign up for this

Josh Hawley standing on the Senate floor like an asymetrical fascist lamppost, patronising the entire country.

It's almost cute - he's talking like a presidential candidate, rather than the national pariah he'll be in the coming days.

Good lord, shut up Hawley no one cares, you can't retroactively toss out ballots when the election has already happened. If you don't like the Penn mail ballot law that would only apply to future elections.

Notice how Hawley looks directly into the camera. He’s not talking to his fellow senators, he’s telling the MAGA cult “Please vote for me in ‘24”.
