Flanders: sp.a
Wallonia: Socialist
Knowing you, i'm quite sure you wouldn't vote for s.pa, especially seeing your other voting preferences. PVDA-PTB isn't as communist as you think honestly, and s.pa and PS have been in lots of corruption scandals recently. And those below are a number of scandals, but it continues and they're a corrupt establishment party, which is why i'll never vote social democrat at least as long it's in it's current state.

I doubt it honestly. In Wallonia yes, but Open VLD is right-wing in Flanders and is moving to the right. They are in favour of pro-austerity policies, anti-socialist and social democrat, and have been criticized a lot for it. They are a conservative liberal party, not just a liberal party. They even discussed breaking ties with MR because they're still a center party that works together with greens and social democrats.

About Russia, i've talked to Russians who are anti-Putin and they've said that Yabloko is a splinter party that also really isn't against Putin. Russia of the Future is the only real opposition. Communist Party of Russia sort of supports Putin as well, and Putin tolerates them. Liberal Democrats idem. The social democrat A Just Russia idem. Rodina is a party founded by Putin's puppets to direct votes from the communist party towards Rodina.

I would still vote for the biggest opposition party in Russia and that's the communist party, but it all doesn't make sense, because nothing will change. Russia of the Future is constantly blocked by elections. There's no real opposition in Russia, only fake opposition. If i had to vote now i would try to defeat United Russia by voting for one fake opposition party, in a hopeless attempt to get an upset defeat, but you know that even when that happens (like in 1996) there will be fraud. Russia is a fake democracy, like so many countries are.

Of course you can't know it, and i would vote Russia of the Future if they were bigger. The Communist Party is socially conservative (unfortunately), marxist-leninist and have criticized our party from leaving their party line, and our party broke ties years ago. They're still the same old communist party as earlier, but Putin's United Russia which is also state capitalist and authoritarian isn't much better. Nothing really changed at all in Russia.

Updated

Only in South Africa, UK and arguably Italy/Russia, i vote right-wing. Although i wouldn't say M5S is right-wing, and in Russia i choose for the (united) democratic forces, as the communist party there is utter trash and supportive of Putin and authoritarianism. I believe BoJo is an excellent prime minister, and my vote would mainly be of support of him, although in some constituencies i wouldn't vote for the Tories if i didn't like the candidate, but that applies to all countries when i make an in-depth choice. In Scotland, i would return to the SNP after being a huge supporter of Scottish independence. I would also make my vote out of protest with the direction Labor is going in. I could also just abstain, it would really depend on the constituency.

In South-Africa, i choose for the right-wing party as the left parties are too corrupt and too anti-establishment and the Democratic Union is a liberal party. It's a weird country to vote in, but I'm quitte sure about my vote.

In Belgium where i can actually vote, i'm a safe PVDA voter. In the corona crisis they've proven theirselves to focus on the right issues, to help wherever possible and criticize what has to be criticized, while i really like that they donate money to the corona crisis. They're doing a great job handling the corona crisis while at first i was afraid corona would hurt the PVDA electorally because of more support flowing back to gvment parties, i'm now quite sure that PVDA would at least stay status quo (around 8%, the poll with 9%+ where they overtake the greens is too optimistic, and i refuse to believe that poll), while in Wallonia there is still room to grow after getting back to 17%.

I think you forgot "Russia: United Russia".

For Ukraine, i just don't believe in the intention of banning parties. That's not democratic. And the fact that there are no left wing parties at all, is something I consider suspicious.

I consistently vote left wing.

Even in Russia, where I support communist party of Russia (and not United Russia).

Besides, i have also consistently said I support Ukraine vs Russia, for the simple fact I consider Russia the invader and Ukraine the defendant. That hasn't changed at all, and I probably would vote for Zelensky as president (just not really on any of the legitimate options for parliament).

Many of those countries don't have good choices imo.

In Bulgaria & Macedonia, i'm also not aware those parties are russophile. But as I say, there probably is no alternative.

I have a hard time seeing though why i should vote for a center right party over a left wing one, just because they're socially conservative and are pro-Russia (or just less pro-Ukraine). I prefer more western european left wing parties, eastern europe sucks in that regard, but i have a hard time seeing why i should not vote for a left wing party even if our left wing parties have much better views on those issues.

Like, no coincidence you only quote eastern european nations. And for Estonia for instance, I take more issue on being wrong on the Israeli-Palestine conflict than on the Russia-Ukraine one.

If you wanna cancel me for that, go ahead, but i'm more than educated to know what position is the right one and call you out if i don't think you're right.

To say it differently, there is no purpose in this thread if everyone chooses the same option and yes I do know what the atlas generic average would prefer/vote for (i could easily take that option to be seen as the least controversial person ever alive). But if we never took a controversial decision, we probably still live in the ancien regime, because sometimes people need to learn to grow a backbone and march on the streets to demand change.
