Not even Clinton ever took Virginia, and in 2000, Gore only took 44% of the vote.

 I did reduce the GOP percentage to only >40%, however.

Yes, but Bush Sr. and Dole were better candidates than Quayle.

Not that much better.

And Gore was an inferior candidate to Clinton.
