Erdogan planning to enter Istanbul airport to adoring anti-coup crowds according to MSNBC. Judging by the chanting of the crowd and the number of Turkish flags that have gone up in the air, it appears that he might have arrived and is preparing to enter the terminal. Who the hell knows though?

It's not a coup anymore. The military had control, but a popular uprising has broken it.

This is now a civil war. Let's hope it's over in hours instead of weeks/months/years/decades.

I pretty much agree with you. I wonder if there will be a split between Istanbul (pro Gov) and Ankara (pro Military). Too early to say though
