Pursuant to The South Constitution, Article VI, Section 6, this body will now hold a confirmation hearing for dfwlibertylover, who has been nominated by Governor PiT to fill the position of Regional Senator.

I'm happy to invite Mr. dfw back to the Chamber floor to give a statement if he wishes and also if anyone has any questions.  

Personally, I think it's a great choice and will happily support.  Smiley

Good evening my fellow Southerners. I am thankful to Governor PiT for appointing me to the Senate and I am hopeful the good Southern Chamber of Delegates will vote to confirm me! I believe I am a good choice for the Southern Senate because the region and this chamber needs someone who will protect both our regional rights and our general freedoms, I believe I can stop anything ( or die trying Wink ) that would infringe upon our regional rights and I believe that I can push for legislation that will improve all of the lives of both Atlasians and the residents of our great region! I will be happy to answer any questions!

As the other Southern Senator, I just wanted to chime in that DFWLibertyLover has proven to be an active and proven legislator and I hope y'all allow me the chance to work alongside him in the Senate. Smiley

I'm going out tonight and don't want the Senate to go too long without representation so opening the final vote on this a bit early. 

We will now have a final vote on the confirmation of dfwlibertylover for Regional Senator.  Members will vote AYE, NAY, or ABSTAIN.  This will be a 48 hour vote.

Voting is now closed.  The AYEs are 4 with 1 not voting.  The AYEs have it and dfwlibertylover is confirmed Regional Senator.
