I've always been a fan of these games, so I thought they deserved a thread. I love Victoria and HoI; I've actually been LANing Hearts of Iron 2 with some friends over the break and we've had some pretty fun games.

What's your mod(s) for Vicky? I just use VIP, but I do love it.

I just want to add that having a LAN game of HOI 2 (or I guess any paradox game, in theory) reaaaally messes up with your sleep. I stayed up until five am last night playing it.

I know nothing about III, but in II you can do it with about five minutes of modding (or thirty seconds of downloading a scenario that already exists). It's probably easier in III but I dunno.

I've seen it done several times before on the Paradox AAR forums, verin.

I'm nearing the end of the EU3 part now. I'm looking forward to Vicky, but I'm dubious about the HOI2 quality, because, well, HOI/HOI2 sucked.

I've actually spent the greater part of the week reading through this scenario and just finished. The poster, Wiz, made even the HOI parts awesome and suspenseful. I love the whole thing, especially how the Reichstag always messes everything up.

and Verin- I do distinctly remember at least one completed Byzantine mega-AAR, and vaguely recall several others (though I don't know if they finished). I'll go look through the Paradox HOI boards to see if I can find anything.

Yeah, I've been reading the Crete thread as it goes along as well. Almost even considering throwing down the money for an SA account to take part in it. I bought Rome when it came out and was horribly let down, though Wiz's mod actually makes the game decent.

You post on SA, Mikado? What's your username? (I don't post but I have been lurking that Crete thread from time to time, Purple heart populists)
