That's horrible, RIP. He clearly wasn't well on Question Time a while back.

There was a photograph of him campaigning with, I think, Jo Swinson during the election where he looked shockingly unwell.

It was heartbreaking on the night to see him losing his seat, while Clegg, who led the sect who have wrecked the party probably beyond rescue, held on.

Turns out that the LibDems put David Laws forward for a peerage but his name was rejected by the Appointments Commission. Hahahahaha.

According to today's Irish News, the DUP also had a peerage nomination rejected by the Appointments Commission, and didn't nominate a replacement. The speculation is that the original nomination was Boxcar Willie McCrea.

Richard Gere also had sex with a pig? Or a St Bernard?

Try googling "Richard Gere gerbil".

Farage out. Anyone want to start a pool for when Corbyn falls?

We could also start a pool for when Farage returns "due to popular demand".

I'm sure this question has been asked, but what is UKIP's future now that their sole mission is soon to be accomplished, and only notable face has resigned (again, for realz this time i swear)?
1. (Assuming Leadsom wins) Infiltrate the Tory grassroots to keep the party on the right.
2. Blame everything that goes wrong on foreigners.
3. Blame everything that goes wrong on Muslims.

Given Labour's defeat is very likely, I really hope they will finally toss Corbyn overboard after.

Betfair's currently giving a better than 50/50 chance of Corbyn being out by the end of 2017.

Probability to be the next Labour leader after Corbyn:

Yvette Cooper 18.6
Keir Starmer 17.4
Lisa Nandy 8.4
Clive Lewis 7.8
Chuka Umunna 7.5

Pardon my ignorance, but where would these fall on a Blair to Corbyn scale?

From internal right to left:

Umunna > Cooper >(?) Starmer > Nandy > Lewis

Umunna is the closest to being Blairite; Cooper is a Brownite. Starmer is too recent an arrival to have gotten involved in the internal manoeuvrings.

Nandy is on the left but was not a fan of Corbyn to begin with; Lewis is further left but has become estranged from Corbyn's clique.
