With the division of the left (Michelman) and a lackluster campaign by Casey, these numbers can hardly come as unexpected.  This reminds me of the campaign of 1948.  Dewey was confident of victory; so confident, in fact, that he barely campaigned, preferring to utter vague statements instead of ideas.  Harry Truman toured the nation, campaigning hard, as Santorum is doing in Pennsylvania.  If Casey were to run a decent campaign, he would be lightyears ahead of Santorum.  As it is, this race is a tossup.

Even 6% is not a tossup, far from. Not credible pollster either, as far as I know. And it could be an out-lier.

Ah, uni poll. Nuff said. I wouldn't get too excited over an outlier by a uni poll, Santorum fans.

If Casey's being lacklustre, now's the time he wasn't Smiley. I agree he needs to take a leaf out of Truman's book and give Santorum hell. This is no time to give he who doth protest too much a free hand

Seemingly, you'd prefer Rick. Cos that's exactly who you are gonna get unless liberal and populist Democrats; and moderate independents, rally around Casey

Democrats need 6 pick-ups to effectively wrest control of the Senate
