Ties don't happen very often. Nobody complains if there's a tie that results in a runnoff in a Senate or Gubernatorial election. And since this is the first time a tie almost happened in a Presidential election in 5 years there shouldn't be any problems.

I would like to hear what people thought of our earlier discussion though. We definitely should work to clarify how to work ties out, regardless of how rare they may be.
