Well, I don't know if I'd quarrel with it, given I don't see anything...

My apologies. I'm really stoned right now and placed the improper code parameters around the URL link.

I have modified my OP.

It's not impossible, but I don't think it's very likely that North Carolina votes to the left of Michigan. Or that Democrats flip North Carolina but not Arizona.

Yeah, I can agree with that. I guess this map is partially inspired by the 2008 and 2012 elections, where AZ voted quite solidly Republican. Then again.... in 2008 McCain was a native son.

Michigan to the right of Pennsylvania AND North Carolina to the left of Arizona on the same night?

Maybe one of them, but, not a chance that both happen in the same night.

I have seen some crystal ball election forecasts that rate Michigan (and Wisconsin, for that matter) "tilt R" while they rate AZ and NC as toss-ups.

I can see MI going right of PA.

I can't see NC going blue while AZ stays red, unless there is a homestate factor.

I wouldn't completely rule it out, but I doubt NC votes to the left of any of WI, AZ, FL, and (especially) MI.

Unlikely, but this is one of several tie/270/271 maps that could happen.

Since Dems flipped PA and NC, it is likely they came very close in AZ, FL, GA, and MI and fairly close in TX. Look for a Dem PV win of at least 3%.

Under this scenario, I wouldn't be surprised if 2 or 3 GOP electors go faithless, throwing the election into the House or to the Democrat outright.
