What's interesting is that hispanic/white marriage is rising more then black/white. Even though hispanic/white is more cultural mixing as opposed to racial.

Isnt the artice saying the opposite:

Ahh, got ya.  I think this could be due to the range of what is considered hispanic. 
According to the census my wife is considered hispanic (Puerto Rican), but she comes from several generations of New Yorkers, grew up speaking english and looks about as white as me. Neither of us would consider our marriage to be interracial.
