imho people who stand against abortions in all cases and support the death penalty are the peak of hypocrisy.

Nah, that is a stupid argument. Babies haven't committed murder.

For the record, I don't think there's anything hypocritical about being in favor of the death penalty and being "pro-life". I'm vaguely opposed to the death penalty but it isn't a particularly important issue to me and, on an emotional or moral level, I don't have a particular problem with it.
