Daily Double!

This is pretty damning.

In regards to the law and precedent, would something like this be enough for, say, average jury members to charge someone with obstruction?

Trump has nothing to worry about,  congressional Republicans don't care.

Yes, this is an impeachable offense, but the problem for Republicans (and Democrats) is if they remove Trump, a civil war will break out immediately, because Trump supporters will go into an armed rebellion.

Besides, they'd probably have to impeach Pence to get a non-Russia influenced government. Are you ready for President Paul Ryan (or alternatively Nancy Pelosi)?

I saw somewhere that Trump is apparently under the belief that the Russia inquiry will be resolved one way or the other by the end of the year. Here's a quote from the Washington Post on the matter:

I don't know that a civil war is certain. Trump's followers are mostly fearful stupid cowards, just like he is. They're very keen on seeing others suffer and die, but when it comes to anything more than waving tiki torches, they'll all want someone else on the front line.

That said, I expect we're going to end up with some level of Trump-inspired domestic terrorism no matter what we do. And we certainly can't allow the violent threats of a deplorable and fascist segment of society to destroy our democracy. Trump needs to go, and the Republican Party needs to go with him.

Only if they're Democrats. Republicans (aka members of Trump's cult) won't charge/convict him of anything. It's sad our legal system has come to that, but it's true.

Mr Trump, I have excellent news, you have been cleared on all Russian collusion charges. The bad news is under your under arrest for obstruction of justice.
