Basing your political opinions off of the opposite of whatever someone else thinks?  Maybe not a good idea, Senator.

Regardless, I'm sure Boss Tweed and Bono opposed it for entirely different reasons.  The twelfth Senate session seemed to have a thing for passing controversial legislation without much debate; this is one example.  In another time and place this bill would have passed by a smaller margin, or even been voted down.

Oh, that's not why I voted the way I did - research into this topic is a good idea, given the vast sums of money involved. Smiley
