I wish Biden would just straight up say "Look, we had a limited amount of time to push a major legislative effort in the Obama administration, because we needed to pass something before the Republicans got enough seats to block our entire agenda. The president chose to prioritize health care. Now we're going to prioritize immigration."

Yeah but the right-wing media echochamber is going to push the narrative: "trump looked presidential. trump hit Biden on China, Ukraine and Russia." Those will be the headlines on Fox News, and people who only consume that media will read that, hear that, and feed off that.

Fox news and right wing media always prop up Trump, why would this make any difference?

My point is that we can't pretend that trump is getting demolished in this debate, just because he is lying and Biden looks sharp. For people in the pro-trump and lean-trump circles, this will be spun as a good debate. Low-information "undecideds" could be led to believe trump did well.

I still think its a win for Biden, but really because it is just a tie of a debate.
