Well, Israel crushed them three times in30 years, and occupied the Sinai. That and the Muslim Brotherhoods growing influence.
Except for the inglorious Suez-Adventure of 1956 in which, sadly, Israel took part, they were only "crushed" because their incapable military leaders tried to destroy the Jewish state.
For "good reason" the Egyptians should hate their military oligarchs who slaughtered young Egypt men for bullsh!t reasons against a stronger enemy.
Why hate Israel? Would any Egyptian be better off if Israel was destroyed?
