Why not all McCain delegates go to Ron Paul instead? Imagine the crazy stuff Ron Paul would say on the campaign trail for the GE. The question is, would he lose by a goldwater level margin or would he lose by a relatively close margin?

Goldwater level margin - he has virtually no support from the Republican brand.

Indeed. GOP is a more and more populist party and not an isolationist, strongly anti-government, states rights party(the Paulites). That'd make this election have record low turn out. What states *wouldn't* the dems win?
