They're saying absentee ballots being sent to the US military in Afghanistan may have been destroyed in a plane crash.  Around 4,700 lbs of mail were burned up.

Hopefully all onboard are okay and that they figure out a way to know who's ballots are on there and they can still get their ballots sent in.
