I am generally not in favor of erecting statues of anyone--rather, I believe they belong in museums instead of on public land. That being said, I am fully in favor of erecting statues of Sumner, Douglass, Tubman, and some of the others on S019's list. Though I especially would like the Thaddeus Stevens statue erected in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
