Amusing how Democrats seem to think a college education causes one to go from an ignoramus to an enlightened individual  Roll Eyes

For those in a STEM or similar field, a college diploma signifies that one has been taught enough such that they can display competence in a similar field in the outside world (and learn what they need to know in such an environment).

For those in fields with either little to no use in the market economy (ethnic studies, gender studies, sociology, etc.) or much fewer available positions than graduates (psychology, history, French literature, etc.) most of them would be better served learning a useful skill or gaining four years of work experience.

Some people who obtained a diploma in a useful field are not so arrogant as to suppose that the right path for them personally is the right path for everyone. Others are too dense to realize that they themselves did not obtain a degree in a useful field.

Amusing how conservatives seem to think that humanity's intellectual forward path lies in stripping funds from institutions of learning and ridiculing the educated.

Actually, that's not amusing, that's horrifying.

Where did I advocate either stripping funds from educational institutions or ridiculing the educated? I am waiting?
