I just bought a new computer with Windows 8 and I find it very user-unfriendly. In particular, I inadvertently changed the display color and the color of IE browsers are off, and the red avatars here appear orange. Does anyone know how to change the display color back?

Also, does anyone know how to have new tabs display recent sites, rather than a search home page?

When I got my new laptop a few months ago, I made sure it had Windows 7.

I usually try Youtube for stuff like that.

Ugh, I found out the other day that my dad has bought my mom a Windows 8 laptop for Christmas. Meaning Christmas Day will likely be consumed entirely by troubleshooting and futilely calling customer service.

Install Windows Classic Shell. That should help somewhat with your user friendliness issues.

From one Windows 8 user to another, God bless your soul, because you're gonna have a bad time with it.

You don't ever enjoy having Windows 8, you just get used to it.
