If kasich and Sen Sasse challenges trump in 2020 primary , can they win any states in primaries ? If so which ones, also which ones would be competitive?

Heck, my first question is should they run would they even qualify for debates against Trump? And would they even happen.

The debate qualifications can be whatever the organization hosting the debate says they are.  Certainly if either Kasich or Sasse were to run against Trump in the 2020 primaries, some news org. would be happy to put on a debate for one or both of them against Trump.  But Trump probably wouldn't agree to participate.
