I finally received good news today, after much hard work and many hours filling out applications and after some denials, I received an acceptance offer from George Mason University which is one of Virginia's top schools and one of the nation's top research universities.

Congrats. Did you go to CC or are you transferring from another university?

George Mason is good academically, but like Old Dominion University, it's basically a huge community college as far as the atmosphere goes. I got into ODU and GMU, but I wish I had chosen a school with a more traditional college feel to it(hell, even VCU).

I'm transferring from another university,

Perhaps on the community college point, then again alot of state schools are like that in Virginia, from what I've heard even UVA has a community college atmosphere to an extent.
