Is this a Greene internal or something?  What would be causing a Greene surge otherwise?

More ads than Levine, for one thing. I swear to god, 3 months ago, I thought every commercial was for Levine but I knew nothing 'til I saw Greene ads literally being every other commercial lol

Jesus, this primary is a mess. Everyone has a lead, and yet no one is the clear front runner. I dont even know who would be the best candidate for the GE.

Greene was a candidate for the Senate in 2010, lost to Kendrick Meek and refused to support him.

He's blitzing the air waves here and I have had mailers from him but no one else.

Yeah seriously, I never even heard of him until now, and suddenly he's leading?! Why does Florida always have to be so bizarre?!

I thought I recognized his name, but had to look it up to be sure. Crazy he's back. It would be quintessential FL Dem nature to nominate this joke.

That's a little unfair to Greene.

Meek was in the unusual situation of Gov. Charlie Crist running for Senate as an Independent (after leaving the GOP but not joining the Democrats yet).  Crist consistently polled ahead of Meek, and was within striking distance of Rubio, and Crist left it hanging as to what party's caucus he's become part of.  Some other Democrats bailed and supported Crist for that reason, and Crist was a highly unusual "independent".

Greene shot into contention with a late entry and a lot of money, with pretty good ads that promise the spectacle of Greene getting in Trump's face on everything.  But he's running a coherent campaign.  I'm not sure Gwen Graham would be in the lead if her Dad hadn't been Governor, but I'm not sure she'd have run if he hadn't been Governor, either.
