I don't get the 'What do Dems stand for' gripe in the article. What did the GOP stand for under Obama or the Dems under Bush? Of course most of the party is going to be against the opposing President and policy issues are going to be secondary.

AR is ancestrally Democratic this may be some of those old roots coming back. It was somewhat competitive during the Bush years.

Maybe with the right candidate a Dem could manage Kerry performances in AR, WV, KY like 43-46% of the vote instead of 33-36.

So much for the sunbelt strategy. I always thought AZ was a state ripe for Trump with its retirees from all over especially the Rust belt and love of hardcore immigration policies. GA is another heavy lift, whites have been pretty inelastic.

I really only care about state polls, we desperately need more of them. Its ridiculous there has been like one poll of Pennsylvania since the election.
