FF, kind of the conservative version of FDR

Almost every conservative thinks he's number 1 and every liberal thinks he's the worst

Ronald Reagan set us back socially over a generation and caused our income inequality to move to levels arguably worse than mexico or russia.

I can't say with any certainty I'd have been a 'Reagan Democrat' but I'm hoping Obama will be his center-left equivalent Wink

'Reaganomics' was just too tilted towards elite interests to rest well on my conscience. Too ideological for my tastes

Social justice in the economic sphere and tolerance in the social sphere pretty much defines me as the left-leaning Christian Democrat I am. I'm a gradualist; not a radical

He was more conservative and had a better personality. I prefer Eisenhower though.

Eisenhower was the best president of the 20th century.

I'm not a liberal and I would have supported the Republican Revolution in '94.

I still say he sucks.

Why?  You're saying that the tax cuts made Reagan an HP, but, by that measure, JFK should be an HP as well.

HP, but his first reforms were very reasonable and we needed to invest into businesses and individuals. However, he egged on the Religious Right and eventually created the American Class System that exists today. On military issues, he was really quite reasonable, but simply spoke too much trash. Reagan was basically the prototype of right-wing policy. However, I admire him as probably one of the greatest politicians(not leader) in history
