Both are too overconfident for their parties.

Uhhh, I am an Independent for a reason.

Yeah, you're truly an independent.

And you're totally not condescending. There ARE Democrats that I like and I am liberal on many issues.

It wasn't supposed to come out as condescending, I was trying to be sarcastic.

But let's prove my point anyway. I support gay rights, first trimester abortions, stem cell research, am an atheist, support drug legalization, favor single-payer, and supported Mikulski's equal pay idea

So why do you support Republicans?

Economics. Besides tax loopholes, I base my political decisions on economics, and Republicans IN GENERAL have better ideas. Cutting unneeded pork and making a flat income (and killing estate/general sales tax and eliminating unneeded departments that the states can handle, among other ideas that I can't think of right now) vicariously so that people can have more money and capitalism can thrive is an appealing thing to me, and job creation is high under Republican governors. Social issues take second wheel, as it is the economy that floats a country. In addition, the issue of gun control is an important thing to me, and most Democrats, it seems, think with their emotions and have a pathological hatred of guns. Dan Malloy's handling of his gun control bill after Sandy Hook was reprehensible. For all intents and purposes, this makes me a Libertarian, but until they gain power to have a shot, I'll stay Independent, and if I was elected to the senate, I would caucus with Republicans.

Freedomhawk needs to change his Avatar back to R-CT. He's the most conservative independent I've ever seen. He's not a bad guy, but c'mon, you're not a Independent.

Even WITH what I said to Flo up there? I mean I'm willing to, but really?

Both are useless hacks, but KCDem seems worse
