I feel like he actually cares about the people of California as opposed to the sleazeball of a lieutenant governor (Gavin Newsom) that we currently have. I admire his stances on the environment as well. My only qualm with mid-2000's to present Jerry Brown (early 1990's Jerry Brown, 1970's to 1980's Jerry Brown and the current incarnation are basically three different people) is that he should have been a bit more proactive in dealing with the gas leak in LA.
I'm pretty liberal, but it's nice to have Jerry Brown keeping our legislature from going to crazy. I'm not sure that Newsom would do the same.
