Interesting.  I don't see how Sherman survives.

Interesting.  I don't see how Sherman survives.

If he defeated Berman handily, there's no way he can lose to someone else. This isn't exactly the right district for a challenge by a Latino last name.

Sorry, I was referring to the Committee problem.  I don't see how he wins the vote.

He has now quit the race.

I would love to see a Who's on First? skit related to this race.  It could be hilarious since their surnames are so similar.

Not that I think Sherman will be primaried or anything, but I bet the only reason a lot of people voted for him is that he is not as openly awful as Berman, who was possibly the worst non-Blue Dog Democrat in the House, the RIAA's go-to guy in Congress, extreme Zionist, supported the Iraq War for the longest time until it was a political liability. Sherman isn't really much better on those issues (SOPA co-sponsor after all), but he was not quite as deep into them.

My boyfriend wound up voting for Berman based on the Pierce College debate. It just looked like Sherman was abusing the elder Berman. We're both amused by the fallout after, btw, just because we got so invested in the race thanks to constant ads on Hulu.
