https://www.axios.com/2024/05/05/israel-us-ammunition-shipment-hold

Quote
The Biden administration last week put a hold on a shipment of U.S.-made ammunition to Israel, two Israeli officials told Axios.

Why it matters: It is the first time since the Oct. 7 attack that the U.S. has stopped a weapons shipment intended for the Israeli military.

This is truly awful.

Good. Hopefully the next will be shipping the ammo to Ukraine ASAP.

Excellent news. This is the morally right thing to do, even if hit ends up hurting him politically.

This is in Israel's best interest. They're creating more Hamas than they're eliminating at this point.

Good. Saying it's long overdue would be an understatement, but hopefully this is just the beginning.

We should not be taking the keys away . We should actively be supporting them fully occupying Gaza

Just leave the shipment on the Gaza shoreline, and tell Israel to go pick it up themselves.  Make sure the crates are clearly labeled "DANGER: AMMUNITION. FOR ISRAEL ONLY"

Too little; too late.

He approved the aide after October 7, Netanyahu was enabled by it, and seven months later it ruined the reputations of both Biden and Israel, perhaps beyond repair.

But at the same time, I don't think Israel needs much more aide, at least until they start de-escalating the conflict and helping to rebuild Gaza.

what happens afterward? Israel does not have the best interests of Gaza at heart.

This was apparently a brief, off-the-books delay that was used as leverage during negotiations, and only got out to the press after the ammo had already been delivered.

Does Trump even have to campaign this year?

Biden can't debate, will let another 1M illegals across the border before the elections, and has now flip flopped on Israel.

Donald could win this from jail.

This is quite frankly a ridiculous take. It's never "too little, too late" and that's the same cliche nonsense that we'd expect from far leftists dead-enders who will never be satisfied with anything Biden does.

Not just that but yes.... obviously he approved aide after Oct 7th. That was the attack. Why would Joe Biden *NOT* approve aid after that date?

And saying that ...ammo... "ruined the reputation of Israel and Biden beyond repair" is probably the most nonsensical thing I've seen in the last few days here

Well, it’s more what Israel did with the… ammo… that pissed - and killed! - a lot of people than just the ammo itself.

This is being pretty disingenuous considering there is a lot of nuance to that - The US was not the sole provider of ammunition to Israel, and every single piece of ammo they have used in this fight did not come to the U.S. This is also a war - fighting against a terrorist group. After October 7th, the US was always going to provide Israel with more ammo and assistance. Our allies were attacked. It's clear that the U.S. is getting to the breaking point where they gave Netanyahu a chance and he's now proven that he can't be trusted.

It only took 35,000 dead to possibly (I have my doubts) do it. When anyone with a brain knew Israel was going to go too far.

Biden has already lost one proxy war, I see he is doing his best to lose another.

Of course he had to do this, public perception on the left is turning against Israel. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Just unfortunate that the collective weakness of the West has been exposed so clearly for China to see. Taiwan’s days are numbered at this point.

They are. The "UN Experts" include notorious antisemite Francesca Albanese, who should have been removed from power long ago for incitement to genocide.
