Per Independent Political Report, the AIP of George Wallace and Alan Keyes, formerly a segregationist party, will nominate Donald Trump for President. What that means in terms of the California ballot is that Donald Trump will be listed once on the ballot, as "Donald J. Trump, Republican, American Independent."

The AIP was in the news in California during the primaries.

The AIP isn't exactly a segregationist party if they let Alan Keyes in.... Last I checked he was black.

California isn't a state that allows fusion, is it?  So this is just straight up illegal.

By adding the AIP vote to trump, surely the orange-haired clown will now win California.

Actually, it is. Oregon is another state that allows fusion.

Alan Keyes, for his many flaws, was not and is not racist.

Yeah, he's only a right-wing nutjob who is somehow even more extreme than Ted Cruz.  He called some Republican contenders in the primary "socialists," including Donald Trump:

Clinton to receive CPUSA endorsement!

I doubt the responses would be "How fitting."

The CPUSA gave up nominating people some elections ago, and have been faintly supporting the Democrats as the better of two weevils.

Well that one leaves me scratching my head, but the AIP is right up Trump's ally. They're not a segregationist party anymore, IIRC.
