Consists of people who don't actually agree with the Libertarians, but just hate the major party candidates?

I'm guessing a lot.

I don't know about that - there are other third parties out there. The Greens, the Constitutionalists, ect. Why wouldn't they vote for them using this logic?

Because they're even less mainstream.

Anyway, I was just wondering, because I always see people on this forum go "oh, well I guess I'd vote Libertarian" in the Election What-ifs forum.

LOL. Well, compared to the candidates presented in those threads, even Libertarian haters would vote Libertarian.

There probably are people like that but it seems to me that there are more who think libertarian, but don't vote that way because they believe the Libertarian can't win or because they have to vote for the lesser of the two evils.

Had an interesting conversation the other day about libertarianism...the people I was talking to were under the impression that all libertarians were gun nuts holed up in their compounds in Idaho...

If a significant proportion of the population shares their beliefs (and these are two very well-educated fellows), then it's no surprise they don't get noticed at all.

Besides, everyone knows those guys in Idaho voted for Peroutka... Wink
