Ramadan began yesterday evening at sundown. Even if most on Atlas don't celebrate, I'm pretty sure we have at least a couple who do, so I hope everyone has a great and fulfilling month!

An iftar an acquaintance invited me to as a teenager is still one of my favorite meals I've ever had. Incredibly festive and convivial atmosphere, lots of fantastic Levantine food like babaghanoush and manakish and dolmas, and some great music blasting from some guy's boombox too. Ramadan mubarak!

Iftar food is really diverse, depending on the community. Here it tends to be from the Indian subcontinent (which has vast culinary differences) and recently a lot of Nigerian cuisine and quite frankly, it's of a standard even a good restaurant can't beat.

Some guys I know at the gym (when it was open) can do a full workout during Ramadan without a sip. So I believe you!

Living in Northern Germany (~ 53° N), all kinds of from Dawn to Dust things, seem very equatorial orientated to me! In Breitenfelde the North Pole is nearer than the Equator!

In general, nearly every kind of pole/Pole is nearer, if somebody is being in Germany!
