I consistently find these sorts of threads to be the most difficult, because I am always afraid I will leave someone out. Plus, I have favorites for different reasons.  Perhaps it's their views I like, or their analysis, or their humor, etc. 

Well, let me try...(and these are not in any particular order)

Afleitch  (highly intelligent, but not the least bit arrogant.  Kind almost to a fault.)

Nym90  (incisve, thorough posts always employing superb reasoning AND decency.)

GM3 aka the Grump (perhaps the nicest thing that can be said about anyone...a true friend. He is also my inspiration for the use of pictures in my more smart-aleck responses.  Not sure I will ever be quite as good, though!)

The Minnesota Delegation (Do we have better posters from ANY state?  Fritz, BRTD, Snowguy, Ilikeverin...did I miss anyone?  These guys all know their politics...have a heart...and can debate rings around most of us. I'd buy them all a drink but it would just freeze up there.)

Padfoot (having grown up in Ohio, and still having so many relatives there, it's nice to have a go-to guy who really knows his Buckeye state politics.  Badger, too, for that matter.)

Smid (see above.  Also seems to have an inspiring faith that serves as an example to me.)

BRTD (Get him off emo, suburbs and the occasional obsession with one particular poster or another and you will find someone with real gravitas in debate or dialogue. Not nearly as full of himself as I once thought or as some said he was.  Tends to see black and white, and not so many shades of gray...but he unfailingly makes me THINK.)

AHDuke (Super nice guy, to me anyway.  Knows his Carolina politics.  And, IMO, makes some of the least hackish predictions of anyone on the forum.)

Pragmatic Liberal  (Yeah yeah, someone said I am his fanboy.  Not really...I originally started paying attention to his posts because here's another Democrat from Indiana.  But then the content turned out to be top notch. Also asks excellent questions.)

Torie (Reminds me a lot of my Dad, though Dad was a Democrat and MUCH MUCH older than Torie. Exceedingly intelligent and easily the poster child for the "anti-dumb". Though more conservative than I, he is definitely one of the first people here whose opinion I want on just about any issue.)

Bullmoose (Same as Torie, just lacking the correct sports loyalties.)

Mechman (might be the only yellow avatar I get along with.  Has good instincts and deserves kudos for patenting the "moral f****try" nomenclature.  That's been useful!)

Texas Gurl (I just wish she posted more. This woman has her political ducks in a row, that is, she knows her stuff.  And despite being one of the few forumites with a more leftist political matrix score than me, she is not prone in the least to hackery...)

Gmantis (He knows whereof he speaks...unlike many of us, me included.  This guy has lived it.)

Lief (A bleeding heart and a disciplined brain make an unbeatable combination in my book.)

Lunar (Very pleasant person, often funny and another one who never fails to make me think.)

Modu  (Someone I am proud to know, not just for his service to our country but because of his kindness and great sense of humor.)

Ernest  (Another green avatar who is really growing on me.  He does his homework.  Very nice in disagreement, at least with me.)

Eraserhead (The guy gives a damn.  He is what's right with liberalism.)

Brittain (See above)

Mike Naso (Not politically of course, but I love the 80's obsession -- even though I don't share it -- I do like me some Susanna Hoffs!  And I really appreciate his knowledge about weather, hurricanes and so forth.  Bet he becomes a chaser someday!)
