I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with all of you, but seriously this recruiting (by both the PCP and JCP) is just stupid.

It's great to have you back Andrew. You are a valuable voice in the party and I hope you choose to stay active in the game and in the party after your current (supposedly final Wink) term as Northeast Governor.

Is there a reason why we make a big deal every time a person switches their party?

I've ing had it with people taking this goddamn party as their solution to all their political woes and as a transit station between parties. We're a ing party like all the others, and these actions show a lack of respect for the committed and trustworthy people of the party. Treat us as a damn party, and not as place to vent your anger or as a damn transit station. Damn it.

Agreed completely. The DA is not simply a way to transition to views completely different than your former ones. If you believe in our message, join us. If not, find a party that you fit in and go there. We are not simply a halfway home.

I know Snowguy, but it seems that everyone going through some sort of temporary beef with their party joins the DA to make a point. After that, they return to their former party or some other party when the issue is resolved.

While many people genuinely join our party and become or maintain their status as powerful voices in the party, far too many use us as their protest. That's not what we are here for. We have a specific ideology and would appreciate if people recognized that.

No, stay away from the DA.  I don't speak for everyone else but I know I don't want your ilk.

I can confirm that you speak for everyone else HW.

Ironic coming from you.

I firmly believe that truth, honesty and integrity are the height of maturity, so in that sense, I was acting quite mature.

Is there a more detailed outline of what each party is about?

Right here is about as accurate as you will get, although it is itself pretty obsolete. The descriptions of the major parties are still pretty up to date though.

The best way is to PM prominent members in each major (or minor) party. So you can PM myself, Hashemite or Swedish Cheese for the Democratic Alliance; bgwah or Marokai Blue for the Jesus Christ Party; North Carolina Yankee for the Regional Protection Party aka the Progressive Conservative Party.

The game is also going through quite a bit of flux in terms of party membership, so there are a number of small parties popping up as we speak. Ask around and you will get a better idea.

EDIT: I know it may seem overwhelming at first, but it's pretty easy to get the hang of things. I would also advise you reach out to the Governor of your region (the Northeast). He is AndrewCT.

You know, I have been accused of taking this game too seriously. I would like to think not however, I will admit that I do place much more emphasis on the responsibility brought on one via committments to people. I must ask why you did this especially after all the trust I placed in you and the responsibilities I bestowed upon you, that you would respond and accept those responsiblility only to shirk of said responsibilities a few days later, begging the question was this momentary impulse(which would then lead us to question your ability to restrain from such momentary impusles in the future), or was this a long standing process that culminated in todays actionI(which leads to questions of your honesty)?

I must ask a serious question of everyone in Atlasia and in my party. Why is such little value placed on party loyalty and why is party switching made so freely and so quickly with little consideration? I also would like to know why it is everyone I bestow some responsibility on(PiT, NiK, Teddy, and now JBrase) always happens to end up being removed from such responsibilities?

I don't want this to be a confrontation, nor do I wish their to be some lengthy exchange on the matter here in the New Register thread, however I do wish they you all shall ponder this for a good while and see what you make of it.

Because the Atlasian right is in a period of flux and the RPP "brand" name is pretty tarnished at this point. A fresh start with a new party, however undefined it may be, is inevitably needed to begin the re-consolidation of the right.

I would advise you to join the Populares with a bloc of loyal supporters and assert yourself in the party before you end up consumed by the quicksand which the RPP has become.

Goodness, I love the rapid-speed political dynamics of this game. It's like watching a lifetime of political history in a year.

Antonio, please stop. You're not helping matters.

I agree with this, I think. I would no longer think of the Populares as the ARC 2.0. While the original Populares could be boiled down to, "the new ARC, same as the old ARC," I'm much more inclined now to see the party as many saw the RPP when it was a fairly new party.

Everyone derided the RPP at its inception (and the JCP for that matter) as a troll-filled, power-hungry, ideologically bankrupt group, but it evolved into a consolidated Atlasian right.

Now, whether the Populares are actually able to reach the same heights as the RPP or to succeed where the RPP could not is yet to be seen.

Also, what exactly happens now?  Can I vote in the March elections for the Northeast?  I read on the wiki your account must be 60 days old to run for office...I don't think mine is.

What am I supposed to do for the next 60 days?  I suppose what I'm asking is, what is there to do for people that do not hold offices?

Welcome to the party!

And Swedish Cheese summed the rest up pretty well.

Funny.

As much as I like you, Gio, you're everything but a social democrat.

Party membership has become more of a label for a group in this game than an indication of ideology.

What is the ILPish socially liberal, economically centrist freedom loving party these days? Is the Southeast still dirty?

Whoa, TCash is back now. Continue the parade of Atlasia legends stopping by.

The socially liberal, economically centrist party these days is the Democratic Alliance or DA. And the Southeast is still (partly) Dirty.
