Yea... His goofy ass SOTU response to a public that was, at the time, so sick of hearing the Republican brand was the final nail in that short-lived coffin.

I just remember thinking he was this sensible, moderate guy who had a compelling background and might be a nominee someday that could win ... wow, was I wrong.
