I like all three too. This is going to be a difficult vote to cast for me and I think everyone in the RPP. But I think its great that we have so many good choices like Bacon King, HappyWarrior and Vepres to choose from.

Don't give in to the far right, Duke Wink Maintain your sanity and I wish you the best in your re-election.

I agree with this, Duke. You are my favorite conservative Senator in Atlasia (No offense, Yankee Wink). I'll definitely give you a preference. Smiley

They tried to screw me this morning by claiming they never received my AP US History score, but I took care of it. And I made a B in econometrics to boot! Tongue

It makes sense when you consider that you can't write the abreviation without the letters F and U. Tongue

Oh dear heavens that is terrible. We lost a dog in 2003 because of that. We almost lost our current dog two weeks ago, to what we now think was an infection of some sorts.

Best of luck to you, my friend.

What can I do?

What can I say?

Except I want you, as our President. Cheesy

I know you will be a great President, and I have it from an un-questionable source.

I heard it in a love song....Just can't be wrong Wink

And just in case this midweek, school work overwhelmed induced insanity wasn't clear enough for some:

OH YEAH!!!! SO FREAKIN, INCREDIBLY ENDORSED, MAN.

There are lyrics from two 1970's songs in here. One is rock, the other is country. Points to whoever can figure them out without using the internet. I will know, I have ways. Evil

Dissolution failed because it was attemping to throw the apple up the air and have it keep traveling upwards.

In the words of Bruce Springsteen:

We reach the starlight all night long
But gravity is too strong
Chained to this earth we go on and on and on
And a million stars cresting where you stood
A beauty in the neighborhood.
This old planet never looked so good.

Keep working on that dream and maybe it will someday seem real enough in your head to believe it.

BTW, it's about damn time you got elected man!

I'm glad you've made a triumphant return. I hope you choose to stick around for a while!

Hopefully there's enough new people here that won't know about my checkered past...

We will just have to erase their memories then... Evil Evil Evil

To be fair Duke, the DS did slip as well, towards the end of your last month or two and with Dan Adams as Governor leading to the election of Xahar in October 2009.

One of the main reasons why the change occured in 2010 was the new energy brought by Jbrase and his crew, yelnoc, Tb75 and others in that year that revived the region's energy and vitality. It passed rather overwhelmingly even with both you and myself in opposition at the time. Had the DS been such a beacon of activity, there never would have been a name change because 2010 wouldn't have seen a revival were such not necessary from the getgo.

The IDS had great periods of success over the last four years, and therefore I hardly do think it was problematic or a hindrance. On the other hand, there were allegations of racism attached to "Dirty South" and associated terms that were mocked by many on the left as well before said change that probably would also provide an equally hindering effect.

But Barnes had already joined the game prior to the IDS name change and he elected not go to the Dirty South but to another region in 2009 (I think Northeast). It may have been a detterant from moving or joining it upon a subsequent return after a hiatus later on, but he also had pre-established connections in other regions as well.

I agree with X-man, on an overall basis, the name has a minimal effect and whilst annoying to some (It may not have widespread support, but it is also not overwhelming opposed as I recall it being about 50-50 in the last poll), I don't think it is the reason for the region's problems or that we will have an influx once it has changed.

Duke, you said two years, but you acknowlege most of 2009 was a period of decline on into early 2010. If the DS and such were adopted in 2008 with your election as Governor (mid 2008 I will note), where is the second year of glory you mentioned? By April and May of 2009, the perception of your Governorship amongst newer people had become one of inactivity already by that point. I don't deny the DS its moment in the Sun, but from a mathematical standpoint alone it was rather short period of time barely equaling a year.
