There has been a surge in complaints of stolen campaign signs, especially Ossoff signs.

http://politics.blog.ajc.com/2017/05/15/vatican/

Also, if Handel is favored, she is by the smidgiest of smidgens. This feels like a true tossup to me.

This race is ridiculous, whoever wins is going to be there forever with the money they're getting from this.

But they're spending all the money though.

Regardless of who wins, it would be utterly ironic if they lost in 2018.

Especially Handel, IMO.

I assume that tomorrows GA SD-32 runoff may offer a good proxy for June's runoff.

I'm not sure much can be assumed with this special election.

What are its voting habits like compared to GA-06?

Without knowing the numbers, is it plausible the DNC regains all the money they spent on this IF they win? I imagine the momentum and message would be very strong if they squeak out a close win..."without you it wouldn't have happened!"

Trump won SD32 by 13 (compared to winning GA-6 by 2) and the 4/18 two-party composition of the electorate was 60% R, 40% D.

Ossoff is up with a new ad attacking Handel for cutting ties with Planned Parenthood when she was at the Komen Foundation: http://politics.blog.ajc.com/2017/05/16/georgia-6th-ossoff-ad-slams-handels-unforgivable-komen-decision/.

1) The DNC is spending 0 dollars on this.
2) DCCC is not gonna see a single dime. At best I think Ossoff's committee raises about 500k-750k on post election celebration, DCCC raises like 250k-500k.

Georgia 32nd senate district runoff is today. Judson Hill abandoned it to for his failed and pathetic attempt at winning Georgia 6th house of reps. This will be an easy GOP hold, but I will still watch it.

If anyone's interested, an AJC article on this runoff: http://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/runoff-today-cobb-fulton-for-georgia-senate-district/z2nH6mZnVY3x8xckbfd3rO/.

I agree that this should be an easy GOP hold, but if the margin is in single digits it probably bodes well for Ossoff next month.

Yes, margin control is very important. It could be a good indicator of what this district might do for Ossoff. It was around 60 R 40 D in the jungle, so I am predicting 41-59 for the R in the runoff. A good omen/results would be anything better for the D than 43/57 R.

It's not going to be single digits. A 15-point margin is possible.

The combined R vote in the first round was 60.2%, so a 15-point margin wouldn't be at all surprising.

Very very early returns in SD-32 (probably early voting):

Triebsch (D) 445 (70%)
Kirkpatrick (R) 191 (30%)

Means absolutely nothing, but at least we can say that the dems had a lead for the first few mins.

It's entirely early vote from Sandy Springs in Fulton County, the only part of this district outside Cobb.

That being said, these Fulton County early vote numbers are a bit eye popping, especially when Triebsch is getting 70% of the early vote in precincts she got like 11% of the vote in.

The Cobb early vote just rolled in and Kirkpatrick took the lead.
