The best part of the video in my opinion is at 7:41.
The whole point of video is to point out how the Right will often use a slippery slope in order to bash anything to the left of Ayn Rand.

There are many people who think just like Glenn Beck, and the right has said a lot of outrageous lies about healthcare, obama, and so forth. It didn't matter if Glenn Beck Spoke the Truth or not because the conservative right drinks this kind of conspiracy kool aid like there is no tomorrow. During the 1950's Buckley, and Kirk did the right thing by denouncing the John Birch society. Unfortunately the right is actually embracing Tea Baggers, Glenn Beck, and various other hacks.

I am assuming that some people think I am wasting my time, but You don't have to catch a disease to be able to understand it, fight it, or vaccinate against it. Conservatives have some views that I disagree with, but these fringe lunatics are leading us into a country where only one party could be considered sane enough to govern. Thus if conservative extremists are not purged than we may find ourself in a situation where all the ideas wil flow from one party, while the other side haha.....Kind of like japan

well my interpretation is different from yours.
As soon as he said "slippery slope" I started to think about how the Bush Administration would often use such techniques order to keep their conservative troops in line.

It is a common fallacy that most politicians on both sides use.

For Dems it was, "Seniors will lose social security if it is partially privatized for those under 55."

Yeah, unfortunately, everyone uses the slippery slope line. It's why common sense compromises seldom happen—no one wants to allow even the slightest restriction on guns, because it will lead to full scale confiscation; no one wants to allow the slightest restriction on abortion because it will lead to full male enslavement of the female womb; no one wants to allow the slightest bit of ground on gay rights because it will lead to laws requiring you to marry horses.

people in engage in fear mongering normally use the slippery slope, and the right used it the most. If you disagree with me in this thread than you are helping the communists, obama, jews, blacks and so forth.

Privatizing social security would have been an unmitigated disaster right about now.

That wasn't the point of the post, though yes, the way they privatized it wouldn't have been very good in the current climate.
