Help start a communitarian political party--one that's both fiscally left-of-center and socially right-of-center. Maybe crowdfund it or something. We need more parties and less "big-tent" stuff that dilutes the messages.

I would recommend that you not vote third party because that usually causes you to waste your vote, but then again, it's better to vote third party than GOP. Tongue Smiley

Read about other ideologies straight from the horse's mouth. Socons are my thing, but read socialists, libertarians etc. Helps broaden your mind, and people are better debaters when they have experience with the ideologies' proponents, not Fox/Buzzfeed strawmen.

That is one of the wisest things I have seen on these discussion boards (and so basic). My advice to you would be to start a thread on this topic if you haven't done so already.

Some people get so caught up in advancing their own agenda and stuck in their own bias that they often appear to be close minded (and perhaps they are).

Don't take a wooden nickel.

Actually, strike that, take a wooden nickel if it's of minor or no cost to you. It would be a nifty trinket.

In my opinion, voting for a party that mostly disagrees with me, and doesn't give a damn about anyone but themselves and their cronies, is just as much a wasted vote as voting for someone that agrees with me and actually cares about the people--even if they won't win. Lesser of two evils is still evil, and will still hurt the country. It's nothing more than asking if we want to drive off a cliff in a chevy or a ford. If it's between corporatist statist vs. statist corporatist, as it most likely will be, I'm voting 3rd party.

Besides, the state that I live in is one that will most likely go to the Republican candidate--in the event that it doesn't, it's probably of little importance, as it's presumably a Democratic landslide that Georgia's 16 electoral votes won't affect.

To be honest, Given your advice to Sanchez; I would advise looking up the old adage about pots and kettles. "Abraham Reagan" is an infuriatingly irritating name. Imagine if a Democrat called himself "Woodrow Delano Obama" or a Tory called themselves Winston Thatcher or something.

Two things:

Consider placing your party affiliation in your sig, even if you keep using an orange avatar.

More importantly, please fix the link in your sig so it's formatted properly. Here is a site that tells you how to do so.

Honestly, I think Woodrow Delano Obama would be an awesome name.

Don't become too dogmatic with your religion. Remember that there is a myriad different ways to worship God and that most of them have interesting and inspiring thought to bring to humanity. And if you can, try also to respect the rights of the nonbelievers.
