I, personally, can't support a bill that cuts sales tax.

It's currently only 1% - which is very low, when compared to other countries. But, say someone did a £100 shop: it's currently 1% sales tax - which would add to make £101. Lowering it 0.75% would save them £0.25. I'm not sure that lowering sales tax would make much of a difference to the Northeast economy, whilst lowering our overall tax intake.

I'd support the rest of the act, however.

Don't support reducing sales tax, but support the rest.
