Based on your response to the questions on the political ideology survey, you are a moderate.

You probably identify with some of the views of both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. You may also be interested in the Green Party and the Libertarian Party. Your ideology is shared by the following Members of the House of Representatives:

Allen Boyd (D - FL, 2nd District)
Judy Biggert (R - IL, 13th District)

OR if I decide that new government anti-poverty programs should be created:

Michael Castle (R - DE, At-Large)
Lincoln Davis (D - TN, 4th District)

They've finally gone the route of forcing you to sign up for their stupid dating site to view your results, so nobody should bother taking that test.

Vietnam

You've got a decent income--way to go. Time to work on some other departments. Elections, for instance. Liberalization is key. And maybe spruce up your tourism--you've got potential there.

Result: Frank Chodorov

You are a proud individualist, which is, Chodorov wrote, “the older and more meaningful” name for what is now called libertarian. Individual liberty is of paramount importance to you: “society has no warrant for invading” the rights to life, liberty, and property, and “government can render [a person] no service other than that of protecting him against his fellow man in the enjoyment of these rights.” Limited government is thus crucial to you, as is the free market, for “it is in the free market that self-interest finds its finest expression.”

Chodorov (1887–1966) influenced generations of thinkers on the right with his incisive critiques of statism and his ardent defenses of individual liberty and free markets. In 1953 he founded ISI, originally known as the Intercollegiate Society of Individualists.

The Modern Mainstream Citizen

A conformist, status-sensitive citizen who is looking for a perfect balance between tradition and modern values such as consuming and enjoying life. Traditional values such as respect, discipline, order and domestic happiness are considered to be very important in the modern mainstream mentality. People in this milieu also want to move up the social ladder, both from the need to gain new experiences and from the desire to achieve a higher standard of living. People in this milieu carefully plan their life, focus on the future and try to find the right balance between what is pleasant and what is necessary. Working is important for the modern mainstream citizen. People in this milieu seem to like various types of leisure activities. Common leisure activities are: shopping, walking, visiting relatives and going to the cinema. Family life occupies an important place and strong family ties are maintained.

The other profiles are less applicable to you and are shown below in decreasing order of appropriateness:

1. Traditional mainstream
2. Convenience oriented
3. Post materialists
4. Kosmopolitans
5. Social climbers
6. Upper conservatives
7. Postmodern hedonists

Again, why are the Bolsheviks - who dissolved the Constituent Assembly and established what was at the time one of the most repressive dictatorships in the World - placed as more democratic than not (and more democratic than the Mensheviks and the Cadets? Wtf) on this?

What they said they wanted to do and what they did ended up being two very different things. This quiz uses the former.

Quiet Democrat
You scored 73% economically responsible, 47% self-destructively free and 39% expressively free.

Quiet Democrat

The market needs to be carefully controlled, but as long as people don't talk too much, they can do what they want (within reason).

Economy (liberal): The economy is a raging force that must be controlled or we will be swept away. We have to remember that it is founded on greed, and unchecked greed is a recipe for disaster. Rigid rules must be in place to limit the powerful and prevent tragedies from slipping through the cracks.

Personal Freedom (moderate): Like most things in life, balance is necessary. We don't want the DEA busting in every home for signs of danger, but we should also minimize the tragic overdoses and abuses that arise from excessive freedom. If it's in private and it's not too dangerous, it's probably ok; however, there are some things that simply shouldn't be allowed.

Expressive Freedom (conservative): If people are in public, where I have to deal with them, they should be presentable and discreet. When they bring their problems to the streets it can be harmful, so we need to strictly limit what people are allowed to do in public.

Your Result: 19th Century Liberal

86%
The world needs change. Too long have countries been under the rule of a single monarch, with uncertainty among citizens as to living conditions. Yes, a monarchy may still be an option, but the public's opinion must be accounted for. The freedom of religion, speach, and equality in the court of law are human rights no one person should be allowed to take away from another. Posed with a problem, the people will speak up.
