Simple question, how low do you think the party vote could be in 2020? Can it get close to the 1% in 2004? which seems about the floor for the other/nota vote.

0.5%, in a scenario where total nobodies with no support win the Libertarian and Green Party nominations.

Yes, the third party vote will probably be around 2.0% this time around but could go as low as 1.0%, as the election essentially will be a referendum on Trump, and few voters are neutral about him.

People are still very cynical about our two party system, for both justifiable and petty reasons. It will be 3% at a minimum. That's the least cynical they can be.

What also may decrease is the number is not having somewhat established candidates like Johnson or Stein running this time.
