If the speeches last night in NYC were any indication, this whole week may be attacks by the “moderate” republicans in the party.  How does this represent the republican party when many of the “conservative” members, such as the president, and much of the West and Southeast don’t agree with people like McCain and Guliani on many issues?  Isn’t this kind of a smoke and mirrors for where they really stand?  I realize 9.11 was an awful day, but there are other things that have happened in the last three years, what else is there to run on for the republicans?  Bush has allot of work to do Thursday night if there is only we-good-theys-is-evil-folks-who-hates-us-and-must-be-destoryed-flag-waving until then.

No.  He has no choice if he wants to win.  He can only dwell on 9/11

All Bush needs to do is click his heels 3 times while saying "9/11, 9/11, 9/11" and he'll win the election. Sad

He has already stated that he will lay out his agenda on Thursday.  Something Kerry has yet to do.  Maybe he's waiting for Bush to say his first, so Kerry can say "Yes, I'm doing the same thing maybe."

Oh, and no more defense of Iraq. I'm sick of it; of course it was the right thing to do. No duh. You aren't gonna convince the idiots. You can't even convince the Constitutionalists.

If he talks terror, which is a good idea, say something new. Like: "I'm going to beat Iran like a drum."

Last night was Iraq/War of Terror Night.  Tonight is Domestic Night.  That is the way these conventions work.

And for the record, I was not as impressed by Giuliani as I thought I would be.  He did go after Kerry too much, I think.  I expect Bush's speech to be 95% possitive, though.

You may be right. They're showing that flip-flopper video before it. That will allow Bush to be more positive, while the Republican attack message gets through.

That's the way the Democrats played it.  Except Kerry's speech acctually contained quite a bit of negative material.

Everyone agrees on tax cuts and fighting the WOT the Bush way. Those are the two most important issues.

I hope he discusses the hydrogen economy, and how much has been provided in federal grants so far.  My stocks would be grateful.  Wink
