I believe Mr. Trump is a citizen of Florida. Is this evidence he's finally gone completely senile, or just voter fraud? I was mistaken here. He is is clearly just quoting Fox News, as brucejoel99 points out below.

The FDA is an agency of the executive branch. Trump is the leader of the executive branch, & his administration (& especially his AG) adheres to the unitary executive theory; in other words, Trump is the ultimate boss of the entire executive branch, & they're to act as he commands.

So if Trump wanted to speed things up, he could. He's the boss. But instead, he takes to Twitter to complain about it - like he always does - instead of actually doing something.

And yet, ~60 million+ people will still vote to re-elect this President who complains about everything but accomplishes nothing.

It was only a week ago that Trump said that FBI director Chris Wray "was put there for a good reason, he was chosen by a certain person, and I said, go ahead, put whoever you want. I'm so honest that I said you could put anybody you want. Let's see how Wray turns out."

Trump doesn't really strike as the kind of person who knows which people he should appoint to positions within the executive branch. Considering that the FDA falls under the jurisdiction of the HHS he probably just told Alex Azar to "go ahead and pick a guy" or something.

As brucejoel indicated above, running the government isn't Trump's strong suit. He's more into holding rallies and press conferences and posting stuff on Twitter.

The big question is maybe how Trump was supposed to fight the alleged "Deep State" if running the government isn't really his kind of thing in the first place.

He's 100% correct, folks. When I dropped my ballot off, there was a huge sign that said "DEMOCRATS ONLY!!" Obama was there shredding all of the Republican ballots, & AOC was photocopying all of the Democratic votes! Warren was cackling with delight as she handed out ballot applications to cats & dogs! Oh, the humanity!!
