...and right on queue, Ted Cruz questions the polls 'weighting' (even though the democrats and households with gov worker is consistent with the history of the poll, but hey facts have a liberal bias, etc.)

These guys have learned absolutely nothing from the 2012 election.

Romney wasn't conservative enough so even though the polls were liberally bias, they ended up being correct by accident since conservatives didn't show.  2016 will have a true conservative nominee that will show how wrong all these facts are!

Let's be honest. If The Media suddenly becomes fair and accurate, the Republican Party WILL NOT survive this. Not a chance in a zillion.

But that's the catch. We have a media that's singularly dedicated to advancing right-wing causes.

Yeah.  It's the media.  The Republican party will collapse when it collapses, and not a moment too soon.  Do you really think you're gonna be the guy that called it?  Do us a favor and stop that.

The poll looks off if you don't know that people have a tendency to not respond accurately on who they voted for.

The people overwhelmingly blame congress for this. This does not necessarily mean Republican, mind you, but they blame congress. They do not blame Obama. Some partisan Republicans might but they are irrelevant. In the end I think this does hurt Republicans, but I think it is clear to see that it does not hurt Obama or Obamacare.

Gerrymandering almost guarantees that they won't be as punished as they deserve to, it MIGHT damage the accepted wisdom that the Dems are set to lose the Senate in 2014...

US Senators are elected at large in the states, and it is possible for a US Senator to be elected in a landslide while his Party loses a gerrymandered House delegation.

As it is, Republicans seemed to have several Senate seats open to easy wins based on the Republican advantage in the last three Presidential elections -- before polls indicated otherwise.

Although much can change, it is highly unlikely that Republicans win a majority in the Senate in 2014 (indeed the Senate Minority Leader is vulnerable). If Democrats get an advantage of so little as 4% (which would be a 52-48 margin) in the Congressional general ballot they win the House. Know well: extremists in 'moderate' districts can be defeated.
