really, really, really wanted to smoke in Keflavik, Iceland while gazing at the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, but I wasn't sure how socially acceptable it would be for an American to walk around the streets at 1 PM asking for weed

Out of curiosity, what was the.....obtainment process like in Austria and Czech Republic? In Copenhagen, they have street vendors selling weed, hash, shrooms, etc. in a designated area of the city. In Toronto, you can basically just ask anyone on the streets or visit an after hours club. The US, of course, has the most cumbersome and annoying process, especially in suburbia.
