I'd probably make some attention-whoring thread shortly after Christine Jorgensen started making the news. Three guesses as to what it'd be about.

Re: Thousands of Roosevelt voters descend on DC for anti-Truman rally

It seems inevitable Thomas Dewey will win, because Truman is a DOA candidate. WTF is the Democratic Party doing??? How can they see things like this and sit idly by??? How can they not send out a strong message and put out a strong candidate??? There is no strong opposition, and yes I said opposition even though Truman is technically the incumbent; it still FEELS like Dewey won in 1944. It frankly feels like Dewey is the alpha male running the circus with complete mastery right now while Truman is just some hapless failed ringleader. He will NOT win! We NEED new blood, someone YOUNGER, to have a CHANCE! Otherwise we are DOOMED! Yes, I said it! I, an infamous bloomer from 1944, am now saying we are DOOMED if we nominate Truman. He just is not going to win. He's lost the confidence of his base of Southern voters AND he will be blown out among swing voters. He's at least as DOA as Hoover was in 1932. I can't even fathom any argument to the contrary. He's done for. He needs to be ditched, and FAST!

This will either age really well or really poorly, no in between.

If Reagan wins Re-Election the Republicans will lose in 1988 no matter whom they put up I think.

Reagan is no FDR.

And maybe Walsh is no Dukakis, but we'll see when we get there.
